ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

UTME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Since the University minimum entry requirement is five credits (including English and Mathematics) in maximum of two sittings in any combination of the O-level examinations, the minimum requirements for each applicant for admission through UTME into the department is passes at credit level in SSCE or WAEC or GCE or NECO O-level in five subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUREMENTS
The minimum requirement is either of the following:
- Passes at HSC or GCE A/L in at least two of the following: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The Candidate is also required to have five credit level passes which must include Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in SSCE, GCE “O” Level, WAEC or their equivalent.
- Pass at Upper Credit Level in HND Examinations in Electrical Engineering
- First degree holders in relevant subjects (e.g. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Sciences etc)
WAIVERS OR SPECIAL CONSIDERATION
Holders of HND in Electrical Engineering with at least upper credit level pass and first degree holders in relevant subjects may be admitted into the third year programme.
